I wanted to spread the world about a wonderful nanny, Gaby, who we previously worked with and absolutely loved. During our time with Gaby, she was amazing with our 4 month-old son—very attuned to his cues, calm, and incredibly present. We really connected with her and appreciated her thoughtful, experienced approach to childcare. She clearly has a wealth of knowledge (including sleep training and food). She has experience working with older kids as well as babies. She’s now available and looking for a full-time position (at least 40 hours, but open to more). Gaby would prefer to work in San Carlos, Redwood City, Menlo Park, Atherton, Palo Alto, or Los Altos. She’s available to start in the upcoming weeks. Her phone number is 650-575-0497. Happy to answer any questions if you’d like to learn more about her! I truly believe your family would be lucky to have her. Warmly, Emily ------------- From Gaby: Hi, I’m Gabriela Verduzco For over 15 years, I’ve had the honor of working as a nanny, and I can truly say that caring for children is not just my job — it’s my passion. Watching little ones grow, learn, and discover the world brings me so much joy and fulfillment. A little about me: • I am fluent in English and Spanish • I enjoy incorporating arts and crafts into daily activities • I love spending time outdoors, whether at parks, on nature walks, or planning playdates • I focus on finding creative and innovative ways to keep children engaged while supporting their emotional, social, and cognitive development The last family I worked with became like a second home to me. I cared for their children for several years and only transitioned when they began attending elementary school full-time. Building those long-term relationships has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. Phone number is 650-575-0497.

Hi Parents! I have an amazing nanny that I would like to recommend! Our nanny, Iris, has been extraordinary presence in our lives, and I feel very privileged to share just how much she has meant to our family. We first met Iris before the birth of our baby, and from the very beginning, she showed remarkable patience and understanding. During my postpartum recovery, Iris provided far more than childcare. She gave me the best care I could have imagined. She prepared nourishing homemade soups and meals specifically to help me recover, and helped me out with house chores, showing me thoughtfulness that went beyond her role. She was kind and compassionate and really helped me as a first-time mother. I honestly don’t think I would have made it out without her help. The way she helped me plan and care for our baby gave me confidence and peace of mind every step of the way. With our baby, Iris has been extremely intuitive and skilled. She knows what our baby needs and wants. Her extensive work experience with infants and children was evident from day one, and I can honestly say I learned more from her than from any book or class or advice I have received – from how to safely secure a car seat and to safely trim our baby’s nails, she taught me how to cook for our baby and how to help our baby meet the developmental milestones. My baby adores her, and it is such a relief to have someone who you can trust 100%. Beyond her expertise, Iris brings a tremendous amount of genuine love and care. She is attentive, proactive, and incredibly respectful of our family’s values. As a mother who values socialization for my baby, I deeply appreciated how Iris took him to swim classes, story times, and the park when I couldn’t, due to work. My baby is also a picky eater, and I’m so thankful for the way Iris met his needs. She prepared nutritious, home-cooked meals with a diverse menu so he can experience different tastes and textures. My baby has always been healthy and thriving under her care. You can truly see one’s passion for her work in the way she interacts with our baby. And really, she is a lot of fun to be with! She has truly become an extension of our family, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had her in our lives. I cannot recommend anyone better than I can recommend Iris. Please text me at 734) 262-2922 for more information or for her contacts. Best, Sulgi

The program will focus on nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving through the design, execution, and analysis of simple, engaging experiments. Instruction will be provided by myself and two of my close colleagues. All of us are parents, as well as seasoned scientists with years of combined biomedical research training and employment at Genentech, Harvard University, The Scripps Research Institute, Max Planck Institute, Academia Sinica, UC San Francisco, and UC Santa Cruz. We also plan to invite guest speakers, including professors and biotech researchers, to share their real-world experiences and offer attendees a glimpse into how science is practiced in both academia and industry. Tentative Program Overview: Ages: 8–10 Format: 4 sessions, each 2 hours, over a 2-week period Group Size: Small, to ensure personalized attention (limited space available) Cost: Will cover insurance, experiment supplies, and personal protective equipment Depending on interest, we are likely to expand and include additional sessions for other age groups in the near future. Our ultimate goal is to help children build early scientific thinking and inquiry skills. We believe these skillsets are more important than ever, especially given the current challenges misinformation poses to public understanding of science and its impact on research. To help us design a program that best serves local families, we’d appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete the short survey linked below: Google survey link (same as the one mentioned in the first line): https://docs.google.com/forms/u/0/d/1aAqWhGjxae5RRJLGlhCd5BMPPuNmwSzxbRO12VaAbP4/edit?pli=1 Thank you so much for your time and input! My name is Jasmine, and I am helping out with the Ultra - Processed Foods Study at Stanford University. We are looking to learn more about how certain foods contribute to healthy and unhealthy eating habits and weight gain, and the effects this may have on the brain. Stice Lab at Stanford University is conducting a research study for healthy teenagers between the ages of 13-15. The study involves some short questionnaires, body measurements, and a non-invasive fMRI scan where they will taste test small amounts of a milkshake or smoothie (following which your child will receive a picture of their brain!). After this, your child will complete a 1-year follow-up assessment involving questionnaires for the next 4 years. The total compensation for this study may be up to $300, and time spent in this study could be put towards school service hours! If you are interested in learning more, please follow this link to a secure short interest form. https://redcap.stanford.edu/surveys/?s=HW9PD3JNTTK8PAMA Parents or the adolescent can fill this out. If it seems like you will be good fit for this study, a member or the research team will be in touch with you! Thank you for your time and support in helping advance science! Feel free to contact us at our instagram as well (@ultrastudystanford)
