Hi there! I'm Adeesh, a Stanford alum (MS '20). I need a Theater/Drama tutor (remote) for my sister studying in Grade 8. The aim is to select some amazing performances by teenage girls from movies and plays, understand the nuances of good acting, and act them out wherever possible. In addition, she hopes to practice monologues and public speaking. The best time for her is 8am to 9am (Pacific Time) any day of the week including weekends. Instructor Karn Verma, is a passionate dance instructor specializing in Argentine tango and Cross Step Waltz. Inspired by Michael Jackson at age seven, he later immersed himself in social dance through Richard Powers’ classes at Stanford. After performing Salsa and Bachata with a Los Angeles company, he discovered Argentine tango in 2015, training extensively in Buenos Aires and Rome with Pablo Verón. Karn has taught at Stanford’s Bechtel International Center, Friday Night Waltz, Jikoji Zen Center, and the Oshman Family JCC. In 2022, he founded Feeling Flow, a school that integrates meditation, community, and musicality into dance, introducing live music milongas, structured tango series, and cross-disciplinary events. Each six-week course builds on strong foundations, refining technique and musicality while immersing you in the beauty, depth, and flow of this timeless dance. Tango Foundations II Saturdays, 2:15 – 3:30 PM For dancers who have completed Tango Foundations I or equivalent experience. Expand your vocabulary with six new figures, refine your walk, and discover a natural sense of flow inspired by Japanese aesthetics and Daoist philosophy. Intermediate Tango I Saturdays, 3:45 – 5:00 PM For dancers with Foundations I, II & III or equivalent experience. Deepen your connection and expression with intermediate sequences and close-embrace techniques, preparing you for milongas and more advanced explorations. Your Teachers Karn Verma — Founder of Feeling Flow, Karn began dancing at age 7 and has trained extensively in tango with masters like Pablo Verón and Richard Powers.
