Looking for a CHEM 33 (Organic Chemistry) tutor that is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings (after 5 PM) for help understanding content. It’s difficult for me to attend most lectures due to doctor’s appointments in the mornings so I need help with fundamentals and generally asking questions regarding practice problems. I’m happy to pay anywhere from $20-$35 per session for 1 hour sessions depending on experience level. Hoping to meet at least twice a week, with possible availability on weekends as well (although not required!). Thank you!!

Hi! I am a researcher at Stanford and a non-native English speaker (Mandarin is my first language). Over the past few years I have used English extensively in my work, but I would like to continue improving my natural conversational English and communication style. I’m looking for a native English speaker for in-person conversation practice once a week on the Stanford campus. Knowing Mandarin is a plus, but not required. The goal is mainly to practice natural conversation — discussing everyday topics, understanding what’s going on in the U.S. (news, culture, social topics), and occasionally practicing academic discussions. I’m somewhat introverted, so I’d especially appreciate someone who is outgoing, confident, and enjoys conversation. This can be very casual and low effort — for example, we could simply meet at a campus dining hall or café and chat. I’m easygoing, flexible with scheduling, and genuinely motivated to improve, so I appreciate any guidance or feedback. If this sounds interesting, please send me a message and tell me a little about yourself. Compensation is flexible and negotiable depending on experience.
