This posting is for a research assistant position in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. The Sudheimer Lab is currently conducting experiments on the following topics
- how hormones influence the brain activity patterns of people experiencing symptoms of depression.
- how conscious and unconscious emotional information is processed in the brain
- how secrets are encoded in the brain
- how transcranial magnetic stimulation affects the brain in patients with depression
- biological signatures of infection in patients post-surgery
Research Assistants will be responsible for conducting screening interviews, helping to collect and analyze neuroimaging and behavioral data.
Requirements:
- At least 1-year experience as a research assistant
- Introductory level (or higher) understanding of statistics and computer programing.
- Preference will be given to applicants with A) experience in clinical psychology or psychiatry B) A working knowledge of Matlab, psychopy, and C) experience with neuroimaging data collection/analysis.
